Ground Water Aquifers are a somewhat hidden Fresh water body. They're only found underwater and are created through the rain. When it rains the water will seep into the ground and get filtered. It when then stay in the Aquifer. Many trees grow over Aquifers, because the root can easily tap into it and the land above it is very rich. No animals depend on Aquifers.
Canals are like really big streams. Most of the time they are made by man and then the rushing water in it can be used to power machines. Many plants can grow near or on canals. Plants like water lilies, alga, and duck weed, grow on the canal. While things like prim roses on the banks of the canals. Animals like snails and insects live near canals. Ducks and fish live on the canal.
Lakes are one of the most famous Fresh Water body's. With many internal and external uses it is a home to many animals. Many animals live near lakes. Bullfrogs, pelicans, and ducks are just a few. And lakes have the same plant life as canals.
Ditch's are like smaller nature-made canals. They're made when the ground is eroded then is filled with rain. Not many animals live near ditches. Mostly farmland birds live there, but no fish because these things come and go so quickly. No plant grow because of the ditch but regular plants like grass are around them. Plants near canals were there before the canal formed.
